Adhesives We Supply

ACRYLIC

Toughened Structural Acrylic Adhesives
Acrylics (or AC adhesives) are two part toughened acrylic resin adhesives. They provide high strength and durable bonds. After mixing the two parts, acrylic adhesives cure rapidly at room temperature and are used for bonding components and structures. They are ideal for bonding a wide variety of materials : metals, plastics, composites, glass and wood. Applications : Electric motors, Signs, Metal structures, Interior trim on trains, buses, cars, trucks and aicraft.

ANAEROBIC

Anaerobic Resin Adhesives
Anaerobics (or AA adhesives) are single part adhesive resins used for bonding closely-mating metal components. They cure quickly after dispensing by contact with metal surfaces. They are used for bonding parts, thread-locking, pipe-sealing, retaining, gap-filling and gasketing. Applications : Retaining components – bearings, bushes, gears, pulleys. Thread-locking – bolts, nuts, screws, studs. Pipe-sealing – replaces PTFE and hemp in pipe joints. Flange sealing – for sealing flanges and forming, dressing or replacing gaskets.

CYANOACRYLATE

Cyanoacrylate Super-glue Adhesives
Cyanoacrylates (or CA adhesives) are single part adhesives called “Superglues”. They instantly bond a wide variety of materials : metals, plastics, rubber and wood. They cure in seconds after dispensing by exposure to atmospheric moisture. They give a rapid, high strength bond which is resistant to chemicals.

EPOXY

Single Part Heat Cured Epoxy Adhesives
Single Part Epoxies (or ES adhesives) are solvent free, low odour epoxy adhesive resins. They are used for high strength structural bonding of metal, composites, wood and some plastics. They replace fastening, welding, brazing, riveting and other mechanical fastening. They can be machined and will survive tough conditions, high loads and chemical conditions. Single part epoxies remain liquid until cured, then they will cure quickly by heating. They are ideal for high temperature applications.

Two Part Epoxy Adhesives
Two Part Epoxies (or ET adhesives) are easy to process and there are different formulations with various open or working times They cure at room temperature to form a hard and tough material. They are used for high strength structural bonding of metal, composites, wood and some plastics. They replace fastening, welding, brazing, riveting and other mechanical fastening. They can be machined and will survive tough conditions, high loads and chemical conditions. They are ideal for bonding structures and complex assemblies.

MS POLYMER

MS Polymer Adhesive Sealants
MS Polymers (or MS adhesives) are fast curing, odour-free, elastic adhesive sealants used for bonding and sealing most materials : metals, plastics, glass, wood, ceramics with various coefficients of expansion. They are dispensed in bead form by a skeleton gun. They can be applied in damp conditions and will survive immersion in water. They give permanent flexibility, they allow movement and expansion and they survive shock loads. They need simple preparation and they tolerate large gaps and dimensional tolerances.

UV CURABLE

Ultra-Violet Curable Adhesives
UV Curables (or UV adhesives) are single part, solvent free, low odour, mostly clear adhesive resins. When cured by exposure to Ultra-Violet light, they instantly bond to a wide variety of materials : metals, glass, acrylics or Perspex, plastics and rubber. They remain liquid and allow adjustment, then will cure in seconds by UV light to give strong flexible bonds. Applications : glass, acrylic, metal and plastic bonding for displays, windows, circuits, transparent shelving and furniture.

POLYURETHANE

Polyurethane Adhesive Sealants
Polyurethanes (or PU adhesives) are tough, low odour, elastic adhesives which are ideal for bonding and sealing a wide range of materials – metals, plastics, glass, wood and ceramics with varying coefficients of expansion. They are dispensed in bead form by a skeleton gun. They are fast curing by exposure to atmospheric moisture. They give permanent flexibility, they allow movement and expansion and they survive shock loads. They need simple preparation and tolerate large gaps. Some PUs are heat cured and harden after heating. Some PUs are called Hybrid Polyurethanes or Silane Terminated Polyurethane which offer some of the best features of MS with the economy of PU adhesives.

Two Part Polyurethane Adhesive Sealants
Two Part Polyurethanes have an accelerator hardener to cure the adhesive resin and allow a much longer working time before curing. The free time before curing makes these PUs ideal for assembling and bonding large and complicated panels, layers and sandwiched assemblies. They are also useful for assembling components and for potting.

SILICONE

Silicone Adhesive Sealants
Silicones are fast curing, one part, highly elastic and flexible adhesive sealants. They are based on silicone chemistry and are ideal for sealing a wide range of materials : metals, plastics, glass, wood, ceramics with various coefficients of expansion. They are dispensed in bead form by a skeleton gun. They are low modulus resins which are easy to apply. They give permanent flexibility, they allow movement and expansion and they survive shock loads. They need simple preparation, they tolerate large gaps and dimensional tolerances and they suit wet conditions.
