Why Use Multi-Purpose Adhesives?

Multi-Purpose adhesives are ideal for applications where you’re not sure which adhesive is the best solution. Although multi-purpose adhesives usually have a specific application they’re suited to, they are also highly effective at bonding a range of substrates, making them incredibly convenient to have on hand. Two prime examples are Permabond TA4550 and TA4611.

Both TA4550 and TA4611 are high performance acrylic adhesives able to bond a wide range of substrates. They offer excellent impact and chemical resistance, as well as fast, room temperature cure and superb bonding performance. Additionally, neither adhesive requires a primer or surface pre-treatment before use, saving time and money.

Permabond TA4550 - Nylon Bonding Adhesive

TA4550 is a breakthrough adhesive as it bonds many commonly used types of Nylon but also offers outstanding bond strength on many metals such as stainless steel and aluminium. This fully toughened adhesive offers high strength, structural bonds, suitable for applications involving impact and vibration. TA4550 is also effective at bonding dissimilar substrates, handling thermal expansion and contraction.

Permabond TA4611 is suitable for bonding: Acetal, polyethylene, polypropylene, and PTFE.

Permabond TA4611 was developed to bond low surface energy plastics like polypropylene and polyethylene without the need for surface treatment or primers. This great all-round adhesive is suitable for joints, smaller gaps, and where a more aesthetically pleasing finish is needed. TA4611 offers strong, reliable bonds which last.

Permabond TA4550 is suitable for bonding Kevlar and Nylon.
