Permabond 825; Heat resistant cyanoacrylate

Heat resistant cyanoacrylate adhesive; Exploring Permabond 825

Typically a Heat resistant cyanoacrylate can only withstand at most 150°C and often requires a post or secondary cure to do so, which costs time and money.

Permabond 825; Heat Resistant Cyanoacrylate

However, Permabond 825 cyanoacrylate adhesive offers high heat resistance up to 200°C without the need for a secondary cure. This patented technology provides all the benefits of an instant adhesive, with ease of use, excellent addition and the added benefit of high heat resistance.

This low viscosity cyanoacrylate bonds well to a range of metals and plastics, including aluminium, stainless steel, polycarbonate and some rubbers. 825 is solvent free and cures in seconds at room temperature making it ideal for high-speed production and automation.

Permabond 825 is suitable for automotive, electronic, and aerospace industries and offers excellent strength retention during thermal aging.

What is Thermal Aging?

When an adhesive is repeatedly exposed to high temperatures, its internal structure can slowly degrade, leading to lower performance with reduced strength, brittleness, and discoloration.

Thermal aging is long term, irreversible changes to a materials physical or chemical structure or composition due to temperature exposure.
