WATER RESISTANT PERMABOND 712; the solution for bonding rubber underwater
Typically, cyanoacrylates weaken when exposed to water and moisture for a long time, especially in hot and humid environments. However, Permabond 712 solves this issue with a unique resistance to underwater exposure!
Designed specifically to offer outstanding water, heat, and humidity resistance, Permabond 712 is solvent free and can withstand harsh environments while retaining high strength performance.
Much like other cyanoacrylates, 712 offers a fast, room temperature cure, which is easy to dispense and use. Cyanoacrylates are also one of the only adhesives which can effectively bond rubber, Permabond is no exception with excellent adhesion to rubber even in underwater applications.
During testing, 712 was shown to maintain 75 strength after 1000 hours of exposure to 60°C water, and 90% strength during 85/85 testing (85°C and 85% relative humidity).
Permabond 712 is ideal for bonding a wide range of substrates including: ABS, Acrylic, Aluminium, EPDM, Mild Steel, Nylon 6, Nylon 6.6, PC, Phenolic, PVC, Rubber
Key Features of Permabond 712:
